The Left Grain Patch Bar is a hands-on, make-it-your-own experience where you get to design a hat that’s completely you. Choose from a rotating collection of our hand-drawn, in-house designed leather patches, pair it with your favorite hat style, and we’ll press it on for you while you wait.

All leather patches are designed and made in our Noblesville studio using real leather, engraved and finished by hand. No two leather patches are exactly alike...and that’s the point.

We also have fabric patches we design in studio from fabric sourced and thrifted. We occasionally turn our leather patches into embroidered patches as well. Patch availability varies.

Whether you’re stopping in on a random afternoon or coming with a group, the Patch Bar is about slowing down, getting creative, and walking out with something meaningful and wearable.

How It Works

  1. Choose Your Hat or Canvas Tote/Pouch 
    Pick from a curated selection of hats—colors and styles change seasonally. We also have totes and zipper pouches that patches can be added to for non-hat wearers.

  2. Pick Your Patch
    Browse our wall of original Left Grain patch designs. From Midwest icons to playful sayings, there’s always something new.

  3. We Make It On the Spot
    Your patch is professionally heat-pressed in the studio so it’s ready to wear when you leave.

Patch Bar Parties, A Creative Party Experience

Patch Bar Parties are private, hosted experiences in our studio—perfect for groups who want something fun, creative, and memorable.

Your group gets time, space, and guidance to create something everyone will actually use again.

  • Creative corporate events

What’s Included:

  • Private access to the Left Grain studio creative space

  • A guided Patch Bar experience (we can press, or you can!)

  • A curated selection of hats, totes, and patches

  • On-site pressing for each guest’s hat or tote

  • Time to shop the studio + take photos

  • BRING YOUR OWN: Snacks, Treats, Drinks, Etc. We have two large tables in the back for eatings and snacking along with a mini lounge (couch & chair). We are a DORA friendly business and recommend grabbing a drink at one of the DORA bars in downtown!

Custom themes, branded patches, or group-specific designs are available for pre-order.

  • Parties are hosted in our Noblesville studio (936 Maple Ave)

  • Advance booking required, prices vary based on reservation time and number of hats/totes being made.
